Mazda CX-7 vs Mazda CX-9
The CX-7 and CX-9 are two crossover SUVs from Mazda. They combine aspects that you would normally find in other vehicles such as SUVs and hatchbacks into one car platform. The main difference between the CX-7 and the CX-9 is the size. The CX-7 is a mid-size SUV, while the CX-9 is a full-size SUV.
The size difference is clearly evident when you look inside. The CX-7 has two rows of seats that can accommodate up to 5 people. In contrast, the CX-9 has three rows of seats that can accommodate up to 7 people. With the extra row of seats, and even though the CX-9 is longer than the CX-7, a certain amount of legroom has to be sacrificed. Other than that, the CX-9 is actually roomier, providing more headroom, shoulder room, and hip room.
Of course, if you’re going to be seating more people or hauling more stuff, you’ll need a bigger motor. The CX-9 has just that with its 3.7-liter engine; a significant difference compared to the 2.3L engine you’d find in the CX-7. The CX-9 produces more horsepower and torque, which is quite useful for revving up, even when under load.
Among the features, the CX-9 also has some advantages over the CX-7. The first of these is better control when it comes to air conditioning. Dual-zone cooling in the front allows the driver and passenger to control the amount of cooling they get. Even the passengers in the back have separate air conditioners that they can control too. The CX-7’s air conditioning is automatic and would apply to all. Both the CX-7 and CX-9 feature manual lift doors in the rear. But, only the CX-9 offers a power liftgate as an upgrade option. A power liftgate eliminates the effort required to open and close it. This is good for the elderly as well as some women who may lack the strength to operate the tailgate.Resume:
